Specialist Capabilities
HFI Distribution is authorised to transport all classes of Dangerous Goods (DG), with the exception of Radio Active (RADAC) materials. Consignments we are able to handle range from explosive substances and articles to flammable gases (such as butane, propane and acetylene).
All our vehicles are fully equipped to transport DG consignments and HFI's team of Dangerous Goods specialists are fully conversant with the rules of ADR (Road), IATA (Air) and IMDG (Maritime) regulations. We are able to ensure that the delivery of hazardous consignments is completed in full accordance with all appropriate international regulations for the transport of Dangerous Goods by land, sea and air.
Our drivers are ADR trained, which means that HFI Distribution meets the demands for ADR compliance, enabling us to carry hazardous goods by road. IANR training also means that our driving crews understand the legislation, have the required knowledge to operate safely and understand the need for ongoing training. In accordance with the amendment to legislation brought in on 1 January 2007, all of our drivers hold an ADR training certificate.
Truck mounted forklift lorries have the dual benefit of being able to transport and deliver large amounts of goods at one time, with an individual piece lifting capacity of 2.7 tonnes and able to manoeuvre over the roughest of ground conditions. An Artic Manitou gives you access to an on-board unloading facility.
This is especially useful when alternatives like cranes are not readily available or if you normally have to wait for a customer’s forklift to unload goods, difficult and uneven delivery grounds or surroundings.
Our specialised truck mounted forklift lorries can take care of everything and are ready to get to work immediately when they are needed.
The range and versatility of the HFI vehicle fleet and equipment, coupled with the skills, training and qualifications of our vehicle crews, means that we can successfully handle shipments such as huge aero engines, delicate Formula 1 racing cars and quantities of explosive or flammable items. There's just no stopping us!
Our crews are trained and resourced to undertake all types of specialist and demanding deliveries, with our exceptionally well-equipped vehicle fleet geared for every sort of shipment. However difficult the challenge, we will find a solution! Shipments that we handle will vary hugely. These can range from high performance F1 racing cars to heavy bulk equipment such as huge storage tanks, pipeline sections, aero engines, and construction equipment.
Our transport fleet includes trailers with open roof capabilities for loading by crane and Moffatt trailer and forklift truck combinations for load handling at any location, whatever on-site resources may be available. We have vast experience in undertaking every kind of collection and delivery project and we haven’t been beaten yet!
